Out of Hibernation -or- I’ve Booked a New Gig
Out of nowhere, I was asked today to play a gig at an old favorite venue: the Brother Bean Coffee House in Seneca, PA. The Brother Bean has changed ownership and moved to a new location, so I’m not quite sure what to expect, but the staff and patrons have always treated us well there – I’m sure this will be no different.
The Details: March 7th, 7-9pm – Acoustic duo show w/ myself and Mike Litzinger. Mike and I are both working on new records and will be playing some new tunes!
Should be fun! Hope to see you there!

Checking In / Check It Out
Hey everybody…
First of all, check this out: Jay Bennett (of Wilco fame) has just released a new solo/acoustic record, as a free download. Check it out, it’s pretty darn good. Really mellow and moody; a good record for a sleepy, snowy, winter day such as this.
I just moved and I’m in the process of setting up my new home office / studio, so it still might be a little while before any new recording happens – at least until after the first of the year – but I do have some things in the pipeline so to speak. Full band and solo/mostly acoustic.
No gigs scheduled at the moment either. Moving, holidays, etc. You know. Plus, my favorite venue has fallen on some hard times, so I’m not really sure what the future holds for live gigs. Whatever happens, you’ll hear it here first.
Hope the holidays are awesome for all of you! In the spirit of giving thanks, thank you all for listening, coming to shows, watching online – whatever. Thank you.
See you soon!

Thanks for Friday!
A big thank-you goes out to everyone who came out to the show on Friday night – and to everyone who tuned into the “gigcast” online. It was very cool to be able to bring the show to you out-of-towners! I will definitely do that again.
Two not-so-great things though:
- The main venue I’ve been playing at, the Artist’s Cup Cafe, has stopped booking bands – not forever, just for now. At the same time though, I’m talking to a few different places in and around Titusville. In the immediate future, gigs will slow down. However, if things go according to plan, I’ll be playing more than ever (and in more places) very soon.
- As part of streaming Friday’s show online through Ustream, I also recorded it through Ustream – or so I thought. It turns out I missed the part where you had to click on “Save” after the recording finished. So… there will be no recording posted of the show. Sorry people.
Thanks again to Friday’s audience members – and watch this site for much more content (more music and photos especially) coming very, very soon! PEACE.

Live from Artist’s Cup Cafe!
Tonight (October 24th), starting at 9pm, tune in right here for a live broadcast of my solo/acoustic show at the Artist’s Cup Cafe in Meadville, PA!
The stream will start roughly 15 minutes early, around 8:45pm. Watch the show at ustream’s site (and chat with fellow viewers) or watch right here:
UPDATE: We’re trying to fine-tune the balance between video quality and audio quality. If it’s really bad one way or the other, leave a comment here or on the Ustream page and we’ll adjust it during the set break (sometime between 9:50 and 10pm). Enjoy the show!
UPDATE – THE DAY AFTER: I’m removing the Ustream player from this post. I’ll put the recording online soon so you can listen to it anytime on demand. Thanks to everyone who tuned in!

“GigCast”: Streaming live from Artist’s Cup – Friday 10/24!
Friday October 24th from 9-11pm, I’ll be streaming my solo gig live right here! This is a totally experimental thing. I’ve never done this before, I’ve done very little pre-planning or testing, and the whole thing could totally blow up. But that’s rock n’ roll, right?
You can watch the show one of two ways:
- via an embedded video player right here on the site -or-
- on the uStream website where you can also chat and leave comments for me.
I will also be recording the stream and hopefully can make that available after the fact.
Of course, anyone local should come out to see the real thing, have some great food, coffee, or tea and maybe even hang out afterwards at an establishment up the street.
Enjoy the show!
